My Approach
What I like so much about Bowen Therapy is the wide range of support it can offer. I enjoy assisting people with all types of minor and major issues.

From early intervention - addressing 'those little niggles' before they get worse, over long-lasting or reoccuring chronic issues, to the detective work of uncovering and releasing physical and mental trauma memories in the body.

I am particularly passionate about promoting to come in for early intervention, at the first signs of something 'not quite right'.
Be it that niggling slight pain, or other bodily discomfort, or the feeling of being worn out and more tired than usual, or simply having just gone through a particularly stressful work- or life-event.

Come in for early re-balancing so that it never turns in to a more serious injury or the stress-level in your 'stress-bucket' to approach overflow.

Delaying addressing such issues often leads not only to a worsening of symptoms but also to increasing negative impacts of related / connected systems. This then means more complex, longer-lasting and more expensive treatment. As well as more significant negative impacts on the quality of your life, the effectiveness of your work.
At the other end of the spectrum I enjoy in the challenge of trauma work, of very targeted mind-body-work.
This work is centered around the realisation that traumatic events, be they be of a physical, emotional or physico-emotional nature, are stored 'frozen' into the body's cells.

Once a conscious connection can be established between certain body sensation (often in locations of recurring pain) and the mental perception of the event a release is triggered, blockages are being removed, and true healing can ensue.

This approach might be of special interest for people with perceived difficult childhoods, or people having gone through extremely stressful situations in later life; survivors of cancer, major accidents and natural disasters.

Or indeed anyone who notices annoying recurring pattern of discomforts.

Important Disclaimers
-
I am not a medical practitioner of any sort and as such will not and cannot provide a medical diagnosis or recommend you change prescription medication etc.

-
Everyone is responsible for their own health & healing. Holistic health practitioners are here to help, assist, facilitate and guide along to their best ability, but the healing is being done by you, in and with your mind-body-systems.
-
Like with any holistic health method - the client comfort, pace & extent of healing is dependent on a wide range of factors. General constitution, complexity of issues, client and practitioner 'being in tune' with each other, mood of the day. Hence the pace and extent of healing and healing progress can be very different in different individuals and from session to session.
-
I usually discuss potential time-frames early on, and track progress against those. Should major 'roadblocks' be encountered and not be able to be shifted, I generally refer you on to practitioners of other modalities, who I believe might help you overcome the obstacle. However, each person is unique, and the speed and extent of improvements depends on many factors, so no guarantees can or will be given.
